Up first is the window display I did for the library. One thing you should really know about me is that I'm am a master of puns. The make me smile and I hope it does the same for you.So here is my window:
Its not the best picture but hey, there you go. If you want more just ask and I will post. The window says "Drop into your Library". See what I did there??? The thing I am most proud of with this window is the umbrellas. You can't tell from this picture, so good thing I have another!
They are made from poster board and out lined in black marks-a-lot. I colored the handle because we were sans black poster board. I used about 10 poster boards total, but that because I really winged it. You should really only need about 6.
On to the next project: The bulletin board. I had such a hard time coming up with a theme for this one. I wanted it to be spring-y in nature, but we already had a flower one that my co-worker had done.I was inspired by this pin which I just loved. This is what it looked like:
There was this one as well :
And this what the finished product is. I think you will be able to tell how I used these inspirations in what turned out to be the final product:
Over all I am very happy with the way things came out! If I would do it again I might do a different font for books. Here are so close ups on the special touches.
For the books, I found some really good pictures of popular middle reader books. Then I used the open book die cut that we had. I think they look like the bows you see on kite tails.
The kites were made by my wonderful fiancé , Sean. He helps me out around here when I have a lot on my plate. He is kinda great. ANYWHO, the kites are made from poster board and tissue paper. Unintended result: the glue made the side curl up so it kinda looks like its flying! HOW COOL!?!
So I hope you have enjoyed this post and that it may help you make a beautymus spring display all your own!
